Live Export Containers

Australasian Livestock Services Pty. Ltd. (ALS) has recently developed four Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) approved livestock containers.

These converted 20 foot flat racks are AMSA approved to carry cattle, buffalo, goats, pigs, sheep, deer, horses and camels. To date these containers have been used to take dairy cows and buffalo to East Timor and buffalo, deer and camels to Brunei.

The cost of these containers is generally equivalent to the cost of space on a conventional livestock vessel. The deck space in each container is 12.5 square meters (see attached photographs).
